Joel Price
Client Services Manager
What is your role at the company, and what are your primary responsibilities?
My day-to-day role involves overseeing our contracted buildings to ensure both new and existing clients’ expectations are consistently met, while staying attuned to customer needs. I also provide technical support to field technicians during jobs and projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
How did you get started in this industry?
I began my career in the HVAC industry in 2019, immediately after finishing school, and have since gained experience across a wide range of aspects within the trade. Working at Frigcorp as an electrician provided exposure to the security side of the business and allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the various services we offer, continually sharpening my knowledge across all areas of the company. Now primarily in an office-based role, I am confident in my technical support skills and my ability to assist field technicians with on-site issues, as well as provide clients with practical solutions to the challenges they encounter.
What is your professional background or educational experience?
I began my studies in Certificate III in Electrotechnology at TAFE as part of my high school certificate and commenced my apprenticeship as an electrician after I had finished school. After successfully completing my apprenticeship and obtaining my electrician’s license, I re-enrolled at TAFE to pursue Certificate III in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration, which I plan to complete by the end of 2025. Additionally, I hold a Security Industry License which has allowed me to work in a field where I can further my knowledge across both sides of the business.
Can you describe a project or achievement you're particularly proud of?
I had the opportunity to be part of the Plant Room and HVAC system upgrade at 22 Market St, Sydney CBD, coordinated by our Senior Service Manager, Rob Dimarzio. On this project, I was involved in every stage, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of the complexity and scale of a project of this size. Initially, I had assumed that the job would be limited in scope due to our team size and the COVID lockdown period, but upon completion, the results were extremely impressive. I am proud to have contributed to this successful project and to have gained such valuable experience.
What do you enjoy most about working at Frigcorp?
Being surrounded by such a great team of people which makes it very easy to come into work every day and perform. Also, The variety of different services that we are involved in create a good opportunity to learn all sorts of skills that I wouldn’t typically be familiar with which I can then implement the knowledge somewhere else down the track.
What’s a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I am a west tigers fan
