Because we worry about our safety and security, we remember to regularly change the batteries in our smoke detectors/fire alarms every year to ensure that when they are needed to work, they will do so. The last thing we want is for an emergency to happen and the alarms don’t go off due to flat batteries.
Just as you replace the batteries in your fire alarms, we strongly suggest that the batteries in alarm panels be replaced regularly as well. Alarm panel batteries should be regularly replaced in order to ensure that there are no fails in the security system.
This is a preventative service that is designed to maintain the integrity of your alarm system.
We recommend that batteries be replaced annually to ensure that the back-up power supply to the panel is not compromised. Indeed regular battery replacement should be considered as part of a back to base alarm access control maintenance program. Batteries do not have an infinite lifespan unfortunately. As such, Axess Control Systems can put your alarm panel on a regular preventative battery replacement service schedule, or offer you a full Access Control Preventative Maintenance that covers all facets of your access control system.
